Layoffs. Mergers. Paper-to-digital. Whatever the reasons, the changing media landscape means many people are looking for new opportunities.  Our fall professional development opportunity features advice from communicators who have made the switch from journalism to other outlets.

When:     Saturday, Nov. 13, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Where:     Hendrix College, Student Life and Technology Center, Conway, Arkansas
How much:    $10 for students, $20 for APW members, Includes lunch on site.

The program includes:

• Kelli Reep of Flywrite Communications Inc. — Surviving as a solo practitioner.
• Mary Hightower/Helen Plotkin — What you need to know educational communications and working for a PR agency.
• Important APW member vote on state-only membership concept
